I wanted to start off with a little confession- I have a thing for baby talk. And with my youngest ‘baby’ learning to speak now that he is 15 months, I am having a very hard time giving it up. I don’t know what it is about the baby talking that I find so enjoyable, but the idea of saying “Wes, would you like a drink of water?” instead of “Does-a-my-Wessy-Boo-wanna-have-a-his-drinky?” is just not nearly as appealing. I am sure if you heard me in the privacy of my home you would probably think I spoke some unknown second language or, more likely, that I was a nutcase. I do realize how extremely obnoxious excessive baby-talking is to an outsider and thankfully I am able to keep it under control when I am in public (usually), but really I just can’t stop it. And I am starting to worry that Wes is going to have words like “stinky-winky” or “night-nightys” or “nummy-nummys” or “foody-woodys” in his vocabulary. Maybe some of you moms out there can relate- or maybe I am just a tad crazy and have been spending too much time around a toddler. No worries though- I am sure it is nothing a good dose of adult conversation can’t take care of.
Speaking of baby talk- this family probably had a little peek into my baby talking problem at their session, but this little sweetie was so cute I just couldn’t stop myself. Isn’t she beautiful? And I got a good 1-2 minutes of smiles out of her, which is a lot! Usually smiles are very fleeting. She was a real natural in front of the camera. Not suprising though, seeing her adorable older sisters. There is obviously some genetics involved:)
Enjoy the sneaky-peeky-weaky!
