Get ready folks! It is the second most wonderful time of the year (the first being Christmas, of course!) What am I talking about, you ask yourself? Spring? The extended Presidents day sale at Brown Toyota? Oh, no, this is even better! It’s the annual 2009 Kid of the Year contest, of course! And with spring weather finally in the air (after months of snow and freezing temperatures, 52 degrees now qualifies as spring like weather) this is the perfect time to do it! For those of you that are not familiar with how this contest works, here is the 411:
RULES
I have randomly selected 10 kids from my 2009 sessions. You can vote for your favorite contestant by sending an email to contest@mandycarroll.com and including the name or number of the contestant in the subject line. While I love to hear your comments here on the blog, only votes sent to this email address will be counted. Keep in mind that the voting is open to ANYONE, so be sure to tell your family, friends, coworkers, veterinarians etc. to vote! And as always, I love to hear how far the voting web extends so feel free to tell me your location! Only one vote per person is allowed.
DEADLINE
Voting will begin today and will end Monday, March 8th at 10pm. So you have about a week to get those votes in! Check back here throughout the week for contest updates and the insider scoop on the contestants’ sessions! And the winner will be announced on Tuesday morning, March 9th.
THE PRIZE
The contestant who receives the most votes will win a complimentary session with Mandy Carroll Photography(valued at $175) as well as a complimentary 8×10. The first runner up will receive a $75 print credit toward a future session.
BONUS PRIZE
Because I couldn’t include all of my wonderful clients from 2009, I have added this bonus prize as consolation. At the end of the week I will be doing a random drawing(based on email #) for another complimentary session. This certificate can be transferable, so if Aunt May from New York City wins, she can use the certificate for herself when she happens to be in C’ville, or give it to her niece/nephew and their family. So even if your child was not included as a contestant this year, still be sure to recruit your family and friends to vote to increase your chances!

This has been such a great year and I have loved working with so many beautiful babies, children and families and continuing to see them grow and change! Thank you for making this year such a success and making what I do and love possible!
